App build in just 4 days
I was tasked with assembling a team and head to Apple headquarters in Cupertino to design and build a working iPad App for LensCrafters—all in just four days. No pressure! Little did I know this project would be something that became a career highlight for me.
How I got it done:
A clear vision 😉
Partner with Apple to jumpstart LensCrafters’ Build Your Own Lens program by designing a prototype iPad app within a week. And along the way:
Educate the client on Lean UX and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Collaborate with retail leaders from Apple and LensCrafters
Conduct real-world user testing at a local LensCrafters store to validate concepts.

Agile all the way
I led a small team of two designers, two engineers, and one project manager in what we dubbed our “war room.” This was agile in its purest form—story pointing tasks, design and development in real time, and iterating based on feedback.
User-Centered Design & Development
Designed and developed the app onsite, focusing on transparency and empowerment for customers during their lens selection journey.
Rapid Prototyping & Testing
Conducted two rounds of user testing at a nearby LensCrafters store, iterating on the app based on real-world feedback.
Collaborative Ideation
Partnered with Apple’s subject matter experts, integrating iOS development best practices and UI patterns to ensure the app aligned with Apple’s standards and LensCrafters’ vision.
Client Education
Delivered workshops and presentations on Omni-channel Strategy, Technical Infrastructure, and Agile Best Practices, equipping the LensCrafters team with tools for long-term success.
